3 Step Sparring ( 1 – 4 )
3 step sparring is designed for the beginner to learn the basic Tae Kwon-Do techniques. It teaches the student many things. Proper distance, correct facing, forearm conditioning, correct blocks, correct stances, counter attacks and timing.
The Attacker always starts in Left Walking Stance, Low Section Outer Forearm Block. Steps Forward in Walking Stance Middle Section Obverse Punch x 3. The Defender always starts in Parallel Ready Stance.
1 Right Leg Back, Walking Stance Middle Section Inner Forearm Block x 3.
Counter – Reverse Punch.
2 Left Leg Back, L Stance Middle Section Inner Forearm Block x 3.
Counter – Move the Left Leg Forwards 45˚, Move the Right Leg Behind the Opponents Front Leg, Execute a Right Knife Hand Strike to the Back of the Neck.
3Left Leg Back, L Stance Middle Section Inwards Outer Forearm Block x 3.
Counter – Slide Forwards in a Left L Stance, Execute A Right Front Back Fist Strike to the Bridge of the Opponents Nose
4 Left Leg Back, L Stance Middle Section Inner Forearm Block x 3.
Counter – Move Left Leg into Sitting Stance, Focus with the Left Hand, Execute a Double Punch to the Opponents Kidney / Rib Area.
